Many goal setters don't realize they have such an A.S.S. (Amazing Support Structure) Yet, it is this support structure that helps you to succeed each and every day in both simple and complex tasks, emotional or rational challenges, and family dynamics. This structure provides us examples of positive behaviour, realistic expectations, and the resources we need when we seek guidance.
Place the paper you completed (My Inventory) on your far left, (as shown below)

Now place the remaining papers as shown above. The furthest right hand paper should have the title "Success" written across the top. The remaining four papers should be titled Step One, Step Two, Step Three, and Step Four. Across the bottom of every page except the "My Inventory" page write "21 days". This is the length of time each step should take.
Reasearch has shown that up to 50% of goal setters (typically New Year's Eve goal setters) have abandoned their goals by the three week mark. Astonishingly of those that continue, another 30% have abandoned their goals by the 42 day mark. Of those that still remain only about 3 per hundred, or three percent, will actually achieve their goal.
Why is there such a high failure rate? Simply stated, most goals are too lofty, take too long to achieve or don't account for celebrations of successes along they way.
In the WOW 2010 Life Plan Goal Program, we help you to overcome all three of these challenges. At the begining of our your goal program, we want you to create a success attitude, so your first goal step is only 21 days. And, your overarching goal is only four months, so you can create greater successes in short, easy to manage hops. This strategy allows you to focus and realize successes sooner and create positive forward momentum. By having this short first step to achievement, we create an opportuntity to celebrate your success and then build upon it.
If you want to set an annual goal, DON'T, at least not yet. After we have explained the goal creation structure then look at a realistic annual goal.
